Offensive Candy Bar Advertising

Perhaps in True Confections there should have been an offensive advertising campaign for Little Sammies akin to the Twix mess that has stirred up so many people, and for good reason! (Not that True Confections suffers from a dearth of controversial candy concepts.)

  1. I seem to have missed the "Twix mess" completely. What happened?

  2. Oh, Twix had this reprehensible "Need a moment?" campaign where people would be doing something abominable, get caught at it, and then they would stuff their mouths with Twix to have a moment to think their way out of the mess. Things like a woman saying "you're the father of one of my children (she's a teacher and he doesn't realize it at first), and the guy says, "Oh! Cancun!" before he realizes what is going on. Or another moron reading porn when the girl of his dreams shows up. (He eats a Twix and blames it on his friend.)

  3. And don't forget the current perverted mess, where the new husband/father is caught leering at three teenage girls and "needs a moment" to what....explain why he's a pedophile? This ad is borderline pedophilic....is it cool and normal for a grown man to leer at teenage girls? What a sick message! This is the creepiest ad ever. And to think...candybars are for kids. Mars Co. has sunk to a new low!
